Welcome to my very own Designer  Collection of Aurifil Threads.

In this collection there are four reels of 50mt and one of 200mts. The orange coloured reel is a superior sewing cotton in colour 2260. I use this thread for all hand, appliqué or machine sewing. Especially for when sewing Redwork projects together.

No 12 is a thicker thread and we have it in two colours a brighter red 2260 and a darker red 2460. I have chosen these colours to match my favourite DMC Cotton a Broder. No 12 is one of my most favourite  universal threads. I use it for backstitching finer Redwork designs, I also use it alongside the thicker Cotton a Broder when I need finer detail but do not want to work the whole design in it.

I adore it when I use it for machine blanket stitching for this I use a 100 needle and bobbin fill and the effects are stunning. Please note I only use the single blanket stitch mode on the machine.  This thread also works well for machine quilting, especially cross hatching. When doing this I use an ordinary weight thread in the bobbin. No 12 is also ideal for hand quilting and embroidery, especially hand blanket stitch,  French knots, herringbone and fly stitch.

Lana 12 has all the same properties as No 12 and creates a slightly more fluffy, folky look . It’s not as strong so I would not use it for hand quilting but it does work well in the sewing machine. It comes in two colours the brighter red 8403 and the darker red 8460.
